「戦後７１年の日本の変遷と推移を、政治・経済・ 歴史的に検証するのではなく、戦後生まれの女性たちの人生・思想・身体を通じて映し出す。」
昨年、戦後７０年への私なりの応答を模索していたとき、今まで出会ってきた女性のことをふと考えました。戦後、参政権や男女平等、雇用機会など、女性の権利や社会的地位は大きく変化しました。法の整備はされましたが、女性の権利や地位に対する考え、そして、それらをめぐる女性自身の意識は、世代によって異なるようにみえます。もちろん家庭環境や個々の価値観にもよるので一概には言えませんが、生まれ育った時々の社会・政治・経済状況によって、女性のあり方に対する女性自身の意識や思想は、大きく異なっていると思うのです。とすると、逆に様々な世代の女性の人生を通じて、 戦後日本を映し出すこともできるのではないか、それぞれの時代の色を背負いつつ、今を生きている女性たちの思想や生身の体によって、戦後７０年の日本の変遷と推移の、全体とは言わない までも、かけらは肌で感じとることができるのではないかと考えました。 そして、７０代・５０代・３０代・１０代の世代の違う4名の女性に出演を依頼し、「かけら」を創作することにしました。

Fragments
"This is not verification the changes and transitions of Japan’s 71 years after World War II by politics, economy, and history, but it depicts by the lives, thoughts, and bodies of women born after the war."
Last year, when I was looking for my own response to 70 years after the war, I suddenly thought about the women I had met so far. After the war, women's rights and social status changed significantly, including suffrage, gender equality, and employment opportunities. Although the law has been enacted, women's thoughts on rights and status, and their own awareness of them, appear to vary from generation to generation. Of course, it depends on the family environment and individual values, but I think that women's own consciousness and thoughts about what women should be are greatly different depending on the social, political and economic conditions in Japanese society at the time of their birth and growth. If so, on the contrary, I thought that it would be possible to depict the changes and transitions of Japan in the 70 years after the war with the bodies and thoughts of women of various generations. Therefore, I asked four women in their 70s, 50s, 30s, and teens from different generations to perform, and decided to make "Fragments."
